The key to internet safety is using common sense. Here are the basic rules to protect yourself:

- Do not physically meet anyone through this site. This is not a dating site.
- Use a free email account such as yahoo mail. This helps to conceal your identity. Using a work or school email account is not recommended.
- Never disclose personal information in your profile.
Examples of Abuse
Here are some limited examples of abuse. These are just examples (there are many other types of abuse):
- Offers of jobs. This is spam. Ignore these offers, they are a scam.
- Sexual advances. Do not reply. Ignore the emails and block them.
- Harrassment such as racist remarks. Do not reply. Ignore the emails and block them.
