Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan (徳仁皇太子) is the oldest son of Akihito and will probably take the throne next. He was born in 1960.

No, his rein has been remarkably quiet and tends to be moderate in all matters. His father Hirohito is very controversial.

Overall I would say he is a-political and does not get involved in much.

He has made a few statements of remorse to Asian countries for the pain inflicted by the Japanese occupations during the war.

He sometimes says something good about Korea ... which helps to ease tensions.
