Dekotora: Pimp my ride Japanese style

Dekotora are Japanese art trucks that are created by bored truckers, hobbists or by advertising agencies for promotion or political propoganda.
The popularity of Dekotora peaked in the 1970s when a series of movies called Truck guys (トラック野郎) was released.
However, Dekotora have never really disappeared. Recently, the designs have been heavily influenced by gundam and video games.
There seems to be no end to the amount of money and work people are willing to put into their trucks. Dekotora often involve massive amounts of chrome and stainless steel, custom decals, parts from classic cars and buses, construction materials and even ship and american military parts.
