Cosplay
Cosplay (コスプレ) is a Japanese abbreviation of "Costume Play" which has become a part of the English language. Cosplay is a popular subculture that involves wearing costumes inspired by video games, manga, anime, television and films.
Cosplay is heavily influenced by Japanese culture such as manga and anime but is popular in many countries throughout the world. In fact, the largest Cosplay conventions (or "cons") are in the United States and Europe.
