Gothic Lolita
Gothic Lolita is a fashion subculture that began in Japan. It is a subset of both Gothic and Lolita fashion.
Gothic Fashion has a dark, even morbid, and often sexy look. Black or white clothing is the rule and the style borrows from Elizabethan and Victorian fashion.
Lolita fashion focuses on looking like Victorian children or dolls.
Gothic Lolita is a combination of the two. So the look resembles a dark or morbid looking Victorian doll or child. Unlike Gothic fashion it is not eroticised and tends to look quite innocent.
