Interior design should not be confused with Interior Decorating. Interior design covers more than decor and may encompass the construction of the interior of a structure working closely with an Architect. Indeed, some interior designs are Architects themselves.
Interior design is a broad and complex field and many designers specialize in a specific type or style of design. For example, a designer may specialize in residential, retail, hotel, casino, spa, restaurant, bar or office interiors. Other designers may specialize in one particular style or technique such as Asian or Minimalism Designs.
