Best things about this place
| |
The two hotels that I know of in this area are very nice: Club Med Sahoro and Sahoro Resort. The whole area has a bit of a upscale resort feeling that is rare in Japan but common in the US and Canada.
The snow is great and the lifts are never crowded. I should really keep this place secret haha. They have a nighter and we were almost the only ones there. Amazing to be in the quiet forest at night. |
Worst things about this place
| |
Umm ... my friend got injured ... but that was not really Sahoro's fault haha. I can say that they have a nice little hospital nearby!
They have bus loads of koreans and chinese that are on tours to see japan that come to the sahoro resort. These large groups were not really into snowboarding but stayed up drinking all night and playing cards. But we did not hear them at all because they were in a separate wing of the large hotel. I image some of the rooms might have been loud at night because of these large tour groups. |
Advice

Don't hesitate ... go! Sahoro resort has a nice little outdoor onsen and great restaurants including a great little french place. |
