Best things about this place
| |
Tomamu is a massive resort and modern resort. There are four large towers and a few smaller hotel buildings. There is one large onsen that has a huge wave pool. They have extra wide buses that pick you up at the station .. these buses would look at home at a modern airport or something.
The snow itself is good, the lifts are not busy and they have an excellent nighter. |
Worst things about this place
| |
The restaurants are crowded! You need reservations a full 24 hours before and even then you will not get the time you wanted. They could seriously due with more restaurants.
The ski hill itself is good but maybe not the best in Hokkaido. There is not a lot of back country. I am into back country. |
Advice
| |
The hotel rooms are very nice. Two of the towers have nothing but suites. I recommend the suites .. they all have a hot spring bath in the room! |
Other Comments

The hotels and ski hill are a good value but they try to make money on restaurants etc.. The restaurants are over priced and the onsen is not free (most hotels in japan onsen is included). |
