Fukuoka is a surprisingly large city. It is the biggest city in Kyuushu and one of the largest in Japan. A lot of famous Japanese musicians come from Fukuoka. Fukuoka people seem to have a good sense of humor.
Fukuoka is surrounded by mountains and the sea. The climate seems to be warm but it rains a lot. |

I have been to Fukuoka a few times just for day trips. I always wanted to stay longer ... but it never really came up. The best thing about Fukuoka is the people ... people are much more friendly then in Tokyo. I personally find that Fukuoka people typically have wonderful personalities.
If you have the chance to visit Fukuoka ... try it! |
