Tipping in Japan It seems wrong not to tip when there is such good service in Japan. Is it rude to tip? |

It is rude Absolutely don't do it. The server will just get confused. Japanese hate socially embarassing situations and you will be causing just that.If you like the service you receive just say "gochisou sama deshita" ... it means thanks for dinner basically. |

dont do it in my opinion .... tipping in japan would be trying to impose your culture here.When in rome ... |

I agree gotta agree with people here I think its a bad idea. I am not cheap .. I tip a lot .. but in japan it does not go over well. |

I'm Japanese Im Japanese and I know that tipping is not good in Japan. We have no such culture. |
