My recommendations
1. Bavaria. There are many beautiful mountain side castles. Bavaria represents the classic image of the German Alps.
2. Munich (München) is a large enough city to be interesting and fun but still has a lot of old German charm.
3. Visit Neuschwanstein Castle near Munich.
4. Berlin. Berlin has a lot of history and its the best place for shopping and nightclubs. There are lots of good museums and art galleries. Check out the Kreuzberg neighbourhood for art galleries.
5. Dresden. Almost completely destroyed during WWII Dresden has been beautifully reconstructed and is one of Germany's most beautiful cities. The Dresden Market area has lots of open air restaurants, cafes and bars. Check out the street performers in this area.
6. Leipzig is a nice ancient city that was the home of Wagner, Bach and Mendelssohn.
7. Stuttgart is the birthplace of some famous german companies such as Mercedes Benz or Porsche. It a picturesque hill side town that is famous for wine. It is popular amoungst domestic German tourists.
8. Düsseldorf is considered the fashion capital of Germany. It also looks nice and sits on the Rhine.
9. Berlin Wall. It has a lot of historical signifance and brings a lot of emotion to many visitors. You can see it around Berlin in various spots.
10. Go hiking in The Black Forest. There are so many legends about this magical place. Despite its name it is a very cheery and pleasant forest.
