Where is the best Japanese food outside Japan? California? Hawaii?

Yeah, the best Japanese food is likely in California or Hawaii. Thats because there are lots of real Japanese people living there. Unlike the Chinese there are not many large communities of Japanese living outside Japan.

There are lots of Japanese people living in Brazil but I never tried the Japanese food there.

Sushi is quite good in Vancouver although way more expensive then in Tokyo.
