What are the laws to be a Japanese citizenship at birth?

Anybody know? If two foreigners have a kid that is born in Japan .. what is the legal status of the child?

I think I know this one

am not a lawyer but I understand it like this:

1. If both parents are Japanese citizens then the child is
automatically a Japanese citizen.

2. If one parent is a Japanese citizen and one parent is not then the
child is a Japanese citizen, but must choose by age 22 whether to keep
Japanese citizenship or the other citizenship.

3. If both parents are non-Japanese, then the child is not a Japanese
citizen. This can lead to situations where the child has no
citizenship!

4. If both parents are unknown and the child was born in Japan, then
the law says that the child is a Japanese citizen.
