Its someone who loves cosplay but they hide it from their friends or coworkers. If your coworkers are all jocks oooooo then you might hide your otaku tendencies yes.

Cosplayers are nerds and otaku ... so it might be good to hide.

But these days it is cool as many interesting people are into it
