Yes Kennedy's statement was grammatically correct and made sense in context. It was one of Kennedy's best speaches at the height of cold war tensions. |

I heard that technically JFK did say "Ich bin ein Berliner" and Berliner is a donut in German. However, the audience did not notice. In the context of his speech what he said made sense. This is mostly an urban legend. |
