Oh my they have had lots of names. They are the result of the merger of two teams. So I will list the historical names of both teams:

Kyoto Bluewaves

Hankyu Professional Baseball Club (1936 to 1946)
Hankyu Braves (1947 to 1988)
Orix Braves (1989 to 1990)
Orix BlueWave (1991 to 2004)


Osaka Buffaloes
----------------------------
Kintetsu Pearls (1950 to 1958)
Kintetsu Buffalo (1959 to 1961)
Kintetsu Buffaloes (1962 to 1998)
Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes (1999 to 2004)
