A love hotel (ラブホテル) is a particular type of short-stay hotel. They are found mainly in Japan and South Korea. They only allow couples to stay there and normally have two courses:

1. short stay (3 hours normally)
2. long stay (all night till about 10 am)

Normally long stay is not available until after 21:00.

Love hotels are often decorated in interesting themes and they are quite fun.

For some reason people tend to associate Shibuya with love hotels. But Shibuya love hotels are really old normally. There are love hotels every where in Japan .. there is nothing special about Shibuya.
